this is the story of .. strawberry and kiwi.
s&kfor 6 and a half years they have been friends. they met in a typical place : jr. high school.

kiwi walked into orientation to pick up her bus & class schedule. kiwi just moved into a town called buffalo grove and the middle school she was at didn't have a lot of asian kids. so she was surprised when she saw a few asian girls standing before her--they were also picking up their schedules. but they looked too "cool". so kiwi didn't bother introducing herself. but suddenly a girl turned around and excitedly introduced herself. she said her name was "andrea" (she will be strawberry from now on). kiwi kindly smiled and hurriedly picked up her schedule. she went home and dreaded this new school she would be starting.

the first day arrived and the same jitters were there. who would be in her classes? would there be any cute boys? are her teachers mean? would she be able to find a good seat instead of sitting all the way in the front, or all the way in the back? could she do well in these classes? where are the gym locker rooms? but the biggest worry was settled during gym class, when a blonde-haired girl asked kiwi to sit next to her during lunch as a request from strawberry. kiwi had someone to sit with during lunch ! this had never happened before. that was the only thing kiwi looked forward to allll day. finally lunchtime came, and sure enough, strawberry was there to welcome her. they exchanged conversation about where they were born, what their classes are like, how many siblings they have, etc.

since then, days were filled with laughter in the school hallway. before and after lunch they walked arm in arm laughing about the mos random things. the nights were filled with phone calls back and forth about the gossip at school. they only lived two blocks (or so) from each other so strawberry went to kiwi's house, and vice versa.

when they entered high school, things got tougher. the only class that they still had together was lunch. and that's not even a class ! they started meeting other girls in their classes, but somehow their friendship still stuck together. the toughest transition was into college. they both were immature and didn't know how to keep a friendship over such a large distance. but slowly they both were learning : the value of their friendship. and now, neither can deny the power in their friendship. through thick and thin, they have been there for each other. holding each other, wiping each other's tears, praying for each other, laughing with one another, etc. who could think of another better match than strawberry & kiwi.

forever ! no matter how far the distance. 400 miles between chicago & cleveland is nothing ! no matter how far.. Christ is in our friendship. and He is the glue in our friendship. who's been pressing each other to keep the friendship going. to pray for one another. to confess to each other, even the darkest of secrets. 사랑해, 딸기야.
