dancing and a list.

in addition to piano lessons i wish i learned how to dance. it's a fun way to stay fit, first of all. secondly, i like performing.
i remember in high school, i auditioned for the musicals and i got the dancing roles, too. i dunno why and how b/c i never took lessons. i guess i just have a knack for rhythm. =] the point is... i wanna learn. all types: waltz, tango, lindy hop, more swing, charleston.
dannnce. =D
=====
and here are the few tips.
this is a list of things you need to know...
1. cards
a shop with all sorts of cards, ecards, greeting cards, congratulatory, birthday, everything. there's your regular hallmark store, or even online you can personalize your cards with your design and everything. ecards are great b/c they're simple and someone else spent hours trying to create it. haha. i like dayspring, personally, b/c they're a christian store and their stuff is really cute. or if you like the cute korean stuff, that's good, too. if you've seen the carrot song (당근 쏭), that's the same website.
2. hair
you don't want somewhere too cheap or expensive. what a dilemma. you want someone who cares about your hairstyle and the state of your hair. they want you to look good and they make you feel comfortable. plus if you go somewhere too cheap, they might not do a good job coloring, perming, or straightening your hair. and lastly, if you're looking to do something dramatic.. you'd want someone who's done your hair before and would know what's best. you want someone you trust.
3. floral shop
i've never really bought flowers for anyone.. but i think someday this is gonna come in handy. usually i just go to jewel (grocery store) to buy flowers, but if i want reeal nice flowers and stuff, i gotta go somewhere where they have exotic flowers and they do the craziest floral arrangements.
4. la patisserie
i love pastries. if i could, i'd become a pastry chef. but i probably don't have the goods or that chef instinct. o well. but whenever i get the munchies, i just wanna go to one. but there aren't any good places around where i live. oh, there's starbucks. but they're full of sugar and butter and way too pricey. this is when i wish i was in korea or europe.
5. restaurant
a safety restaurant that's always good to go to. it's a guaranteed favorite for everyone and the price is decent. for me it would be TGIF, Red Robin's (free refills on fries ~), and Walker Bros.
6. a cafe
when i'm with a friend and we don't feel like really going anywhere but we wanna talk... we need to sit down somewhere. can't sit in the car, i'd feel suffocated. can't go to a restaurant if it's not time to eat, can't sit outside if it's raining or really hot. not a good idea to go to a mall b/c it would defeat the purpose of trying to have a good conversation. so somewhere like starbucks is real ideal. but their stuff is so pricey and i want somewhere w/ the same kind of atmosphere and more inviting. but @ case it's easier b/c you can practically go anywhere to talk. so i guess this only applies when i'm here at home.
7. Entertainment
Whether that's something like Ravinia, museums, nightclubs, amusement parks, shopping malls, movie theatres, find what's around you and go! So many people complain about how there's nothing to do.. but all you gotta do is find out what's going on and make it a point to go. yea it definitely involves money. we don't live in a free world. that's why people have hobbies. anyway.
this list probably does not apply to the general population. probably only for people who are like me. haha so sorry if this doesn't apply to you. i think i wrote it out more for myself.
this way, when a friend or family comes to visit, you can send them a card inviting them, go get a haircut so you look fresh during their stay, buy some flowers for your home so it doesn't look so dead, take them out for pastries and a delicious dinner, chill at a cafe afterwards having more conversation, and in between all those events have lots of fun by taking them around to all the happenings. =)
how awesome.
a list? you must be one of the weirdest persons that i know...;D, jk!
