Case in Point Rocks My Socks
seriously. as soon as the recordings are mixed & mastered.. i'll let you liste
n in. =) this was my dress for the evening. our concert was this past thurs. i'll have some songs for you to listen in on later so you can gauge just how awesome case in point is. x) we got up on stage and just sang with all we had. i can't wait for the semesters to come in the future! with new members, new songs, yea. it's gonna be great. =) i don't remember exactly the order of the concert, but i do remember all nevertheless.
- gnarles barkley - crazy
- frou frou - let go
- counting crows - accidentally in love
- shai - if i ever fall in love again
- craig david - walking away
- evanescence - my immortal
- britney spears - my only wish (this year)
- michael jackson - man in the mirror
- imogen heap - hide & seek
- john mayer - wonderland
i even arranged two of the songs ! hhahah totally amateurish though, man. i have so much to improve on. i'm not much of a composer, i guess. i don't have the brains like mozart & beethoven. i can't imagine the voices singing and trying to figure out which syllables are the best. but. what i do have is what i have. i'm currently working on three songs for next semester. i hope they work out well. =T eeeek !

This organization is amazing. A few of the leaders in Koinonia including myself went to help participate with this organization yesterday in downtown Cleveland. The organization in Cleveland gets together at this local, but small, grocery store and cook unwanted vegetables, bread, whatever and make lots of food out of it ! Yesterday, there were fruit salad, tofu sandwiches, stir fry w/ chicken (i think), yam & sweet potato (gogoomah!), spinach pies, bean & veggie wraps, vegetable soup & crackers, salad, coffee, water, etc etc. right next to public square (where we distributed the food) is Tower City where there's a mall, food court, movie theatre, etc. and the auntie anne's pretzels gives their leftover pretzels of the day to us so we can give to the people !!! i thought that was the coolest thing. i sohuld've taken my camera b/c downtown cleveland is so pretty during this time
of year ! but i'm sure every city's like that. but yeeea. i never really saw downtown chicago during holidays. or any giant city come to think of it. but anyway. so i have crappy photos from my phone, but o well. deal w/ it. ^ ^ we were all freezing our tushies off but everyone who came got food and anything they wanted. some took like 3 wraps. some only wanted the pretzels. it's free for all and for everyone. we even brought over the produce that wasn't used for the food and out in the open for people to take. even though it seems liek all their food is vegetarian.. hey, that's good, isn't i
t? =) the point is, i felt the same joy that i felt when i helped out with soup kitchens back in youth group. i wonder if calvary youth group still does that. anyway. it's a little different b/c you're not personally giving their meal to them... but you do get to interact w/ them b/c you're standing outside and they can't wander off w/ the food b/c we need the plates, cups, bowls, etc back since they're not plastic or styrofoam. some of the people were like, "Where are the regulars today?" And i was like, dang. some people come every sunday???! that's some committment. but yes. they do this every sunday. even when it's only 20 degrees outside and some forgot their gloves or mittens. i'm so happy that i got to serve this community. this is practically my home now. i live here 8 months out of the year and if i stay for the summer it'll be like 10 months out of the year. how can i live here w/o helping the ones who need help. that's a long enough explanation about yesterday. ^ ^

but now... what about TODAY?!?!?!? =O
THE SNOOOOOWWW
had quite the wild snowball fight yesterday. i got knocked around... i dunno 4 times? but i knocked some people down, too. muhahaha. too bad my mittens are not ideal for packing snow. it takes me like 10 minutes to pack a good snowball. simply unacceptable. hahah who cares about snowballs anyway. just run and pick up the person and slam down. =) but preferably not head first since that's what happened to me. i think some brain cells got knocked around in the process. anyhow. it was fun. slept @ 430am. hahahaha. buuut it's all good. i went to class today, minus pchem.
keke. look. the snowman fell down. muhaha.
i think i like winter the best b/c of the warmth i receive. the lovvvve i receive. it's very sad and lonely to not receive such things in such frigid weather and times. lots of my friends are going through really hard times. and i'm not talking about finals around the corner. i'm talking about real life problems and struggles. family, financial, abandonment, bankruptcy, etc. it's horrible for such things to happen this time of year, but all the more, i realize that they need more love and encouragement. more prayer. don't leave anyone behind these holidays.
