Okay.. hit the pause button. WHAT IS GOING ON............?
Did I seriously miss out on THAT much news?
There are "commercial ties" between N. Korea and Iran?! Concerning missiles?!
All I can do is pray about the current war going on in the Middle East and for N. Korea, but I can't help but wonder what will happen 20 years down the road. It seems like WWIII is likely to happen, doesn't it? Or maybe I'm just worrying too much.
I'm reading articles on www.cnn.com on a pretty regular basis now. But I'm so disturbed. There are U.S. families stuck in Lebanon b/c of the war, there's a porn star running for governor in Nevada, the "technology" section gets me worried about being online all the time and the future of the Internet.... seems like there's nothing that won't cause me to worry. But this is the way it's always been right? The news has always been around. Bad things like this always happens. The only difference is the subjects. Internet wasn't around 40 years ago so they didn't worry about it. But I'm sure they had their own problems. So what can I do? Just pray..

Anonymous said...hi hon :) you should read "bias", this commentary on liberal bias in the media. Sometimes things are not all they seem on the news, but I'm not downgrading that we should pray and be concerned :)
Anonymous said...Yeah, N. Korea and Iran had more than just cooperation. Besides the Nuke (the Chinese supplies North Korea with their technoligies), North Korea also helped Iran to develope (or rather enhance) the anti-ship missle (also from China originally) that hit the Israeli navy ship a few days ago...Yep, Iran sold that missle to Hezbollah. But then, the CIA managed to transferred a bunch of anti-air missles to the Taliban in the 80's too...so yeah, it's all politics (and it's complicated)...it always comes back and bite us. Cuz guess what, there aren't winners when you are playing pilitics.
Anonymous said...Speaking of current events, yes, it is totally screwed up. But then. when is the world ever not screwed up? We are living in this broken world...I am just greatful that we actually have a place where we belong, a place has no bloodshed nor injustice, but constant praise and worship. So while we are still "away from home, living in exile", we can always hope for the best which is yet to come. Besides just hoping for the best, like you have said already, we can pray and keep praying. We can do more than just praying, we can also do what we have commended to do - spread a little "Aloha". Because, it is, the ultimate "good news".
