Casanova
Just watched the movie.
quite interesting because it made me think about how far people are willing to go for love. the actual casanova told a ton of lies. lied about who he is mostly. kept on telling different people that he was someone else. and francesca would sacrifice her life and die with her lover even though he lied the entire time about who he really was. they were willing to go against the Catholic Church, authorities, the law, etcetc.
but lately........ i dunno. unlike francesca, there's no more of "waiting for the one". there was a quote from the movie that i really liked.
Give me a man who is man enough to give himself just to the woman who is
worth him. If that woman were me I would love him alone.. and forever.
we're all too scared to really tell people how we feel. whatever happened to the chivalry and gentlemenly age way back when? haha, maybe i'm just reading too much of jane austen and watching movies like casanova. of course i'm forgetting all the petty details about what the guy looks like, what family he comes from, social status, how he smells, et ceterrraaaaa. but after watching the movie, i wish guys were more risk-takers. haha, easy coming from a girl, isn't it? if she declines, shouldn't it make you more of a man? shouldn't it make you strive harder for her? i thought pain only makes one grow stronger. i thought adversary was your enemy, yet your friend. i know it's hard for guys. but when you just KNOW that she's the one, and you pursued after her... don't you feel good? haha. isn't that what guys like? being the hero? maybe i'm speculating too much.
i will say, though, be careful of your impulsive emotions. yea, you can get carried away. but that's why we have prayer isn't it ~! =) now's the time to start praying for your future spouse--whoever s/he may be. pray that s/he will become closer to God and have a deeper relationship with Him so that s/he can help you grow closer to Him, too. pray that s/he will be filled with God's love so that when you are together, the overflow of God's love will spill onto You, also.

hah! If I know she's the one, life would be so much easier. In fact, no one knows if she is the one until the ring is purchased. I think a true man takes risks based on the "possibility that she may be the one" not on the "fact that she's the one". Girls are like stocks. There are bad ones and good ones. Like in the stock market, you can do all the research you want and minimize your risk but you never know if a stock is good until you buy it. We can never know if she's the one unless we actually ask her out. Prayers don't do anything unless you act upon it. Real men take the risks to buy stocks, and when the stock is bad, real men is ready to lose some money. Likewise, real men ask girls out and if she turns out not to be a good fit, he's also gotta be ready to pay up financially and emotionally. Too bad most men don't take risks. Maybe they lost too much in the stock market.
