cute, right? hehe. even though i don't really believe that dream is a wish your heart makes.. the song's still cool and it's nice to see that brenda song can actually sing even though in the show, "the suite life" she pretends that she can't. and that pim from "phil of the future" really isn't a grinch and a meanie.

but what IS a dream? i've been talking to several people in the last week or so, and many of us have been having dreams. the normal thing is that you don't remember your dreams when you wake up. they just seem to vanish into thin air and you lay in bed trying to remember what the last image was.. but it's no longer there. i seem to remember a lot of my dreams and from what i've heard so do my friends. we were sharing dreams and possible interpretations. i could be a good student and research on what other people have written on dreams and why we have them and the typical interpretations.... but i won't b/c i'll just confuse myself. i just know that these dreams mean something and God made us remember them for a reason, too.

i'll share one of my dreams and why i think it matters.

lately i've been having dreams where i'm late to things like meetings, dinner, church, a date, class, etc. i'm always running. the wind is blowing furiously in my face and it's always against me. when i'm running outside it's always sunny and humid. when i'm in the car, there's a traffic jam. it always starts out with some means of transportation and the end result of me being late. and that's it. it just ends there. i arrive exhausted, weary, not focused, and definitely unprepared.

if you know me, i hate being late. i do my best to leave on time and factor in traffic, weather conditions, etc. i know that when i'm late, i'm costing the person that i'm meeting their precious time and i'm missing out. it's not really typical of me to be late. so i was confused when i had these dreams. this isn't me.. so why am i getting this freakish dreams? then i realized that maybe it isn't me. maybe it's me in someone else's shoes. other people can be late, too. but of course, not in my perfect world, they can't be. but they are. and it's not my world. i always just think about myself when people are late. how they're affecting my precious time and how we could've talked for 15 more minutes or sat at a good table, etc. i don't think about what they had to go through to get here. maybe they got in a fight with their sister/brother. their car broke down in the parking lot. and they really try their hardest to get to their destination, which they're late to anyway. and they arrive completely exhausted--the last thing they need is an unfriendly face and a scolding voice. that's not very welcoming.

again this is in concurrence with this whole theme of patience that i've been experiencing. patience in waiting for others. but punctuality is still important. ^ ^
